It was two hours past dawn; Beth was taken to the St. Augustine police station and she hadn’t a clue why. She was a witness, but was treated like a suspect.
Once she had got to the police station, instead of being taken to the cell that many other suspects were held, she was taken directly to an interrogation room where a detective was waiting. She was forced to sit down on in the chair by the table that was across from him, by another rough officer. Then uncuffed her right hand, and cuffed her to the arm of a chair so she apparently, would do anything
